I want to Stop Using Manual Slab Gels
Typically, amplified DNA is small in size and can be analyzed by numerous methods. Large DNA fragments (>2,000 bp), however, are usually evaluated only by agarose gel electrophoresis. Agarose gel can provide reasonably high quality results. However, the results can vary based upon the gel percent that's used, fragment concentration, and gel electrophoresis run times. And no matter what, accurate quantification is difficult with agarose gels.
The AdvanCE™ FS Nucleic Acids Analyzer analyzes large DNA fragments and eliminates the need for agarose gel electrophoresis. The instrument gives end-users the ability:
- to analyze samples in parallel (either 12 or 96 at once).
- to rapidly and accurately generate objective sample concentration values.
- to separate samples in under 30 minutes.
In addition, the system requires minimal hands-on time to load samples and start the instrument. The AdvanCE™ FS Nucleic Acids Analyzer is the ideal replacement for using manual slab gels on large DNA fragments because:
- It has specifically designed gels to resolve fragments as large as 40,000 bp.
- It requires minimal daily maintenance and operates at a low cost of ownership.
- It was designed to be used by multiple users.
